Pottsgrove Plans Flu, Virus Immunization Clinic
LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – A clinic jointly conducted by the Pottsgrove School District and The Giant Company, at which free COVID-19 vaccines and flu shots will be available, is scheduled to be held Nov. 17 (2022; Thursday) from 3-6:30 p.m. at Pottsgrove High School, 1345 Kauffman Rd.
The clinic will be open by appointment only on a first-come, first-served basis. Appointments can be made online, here. To reach the clinic, enter at the high school cafeteria doors.
Online registrants are encouraged to use the zip code 19464 when prompted. You do NOT need to be a resident of the school district to receive an immunization. Registrants will receive a link to an informed consent form after an appointment is scheduled. The form must be printed, completed, and brought to the clinic before a vaccine can be administered.
Giant’s Pharmacy Group will provide the Moderna and Pfizer booster vaccine for any patient age 12 and older, and the Pfizer pediatric vaccine for any patient ages 6-11. Flu shots will be available for any patient age 3 and older. The national Centers for Disease Control is recommending both immunizations be received this fall, and has approved for both vaccines to be administered during the same visit.
COVID booster immunization recipients must bring their COVID vaccination card for updating. Those arriving at check-in will be asked which vaccine(s) they there to receive.
All individuals between the ages of 3 and 17 must be accompanied by a consenting adult.
