Pottstown Dance Theatre Presents ‘The Nutcracker’

POTTSTOWN PA – A holiday ballet favorite, “The Nutcracker,” will be performed Dec. 10 (2022; Saturday, at 7 p.m.) and Dec. 11 (Sunday, at 2 p.m.) at Boyertown Area High School by members of the Pottstown Dance Theatre Repertory Ensemble. Tickets for the shows are available now for purchase online or at the theatre company building, and also will be available at the door.

All the dancers live locally. Sofia Bischof and Teagan Lee will share the role of the Sugar Plum Fairy and various other solos. Holly Lucas and Emma Wenerowicz will share the role of the Snow Queen. Haley Iannarino will play the role of Clara, and Lucy Boone will dance as the Mouse King.

The production includes Russian, Spanish, Arabian, and Chinese dances, making it one many families can enjoy. The show is choreographed by international dance artist Michelle Jones Wurtz with assistance from Dr. Kelsey Nieckoski.

Tickets for adults are priced at $20 in advance and $24 at the box office upon arrival; and for students and senior citizens age 60 and older at $17 in advance and $20 at the box office.
