Dunkin’ Coffee Fund-Raiser Aids Local Food Banks

PHILADELPHIA PA – Dunkin’ restaurant franchisees in the greater Philadelphia area – who operate stores in Pottstown, Stowe, Pughtown, Limerick, Royersford, Boyertown, Douglassville, Zieglerville, and Phoenixville – hope to raise about $200,000 during the holiday season to assist regional food banks during their 12th annual “Roast Hunger” program.

Franchisees will donate $1 to the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation for every large hot coffee purchased by Dunkin’ Rewards members using their Dunkin’ mobile app or an enrolled Dunkin’ card. The foundation, in turn, will distribute contributions to Philabundance, which helps supplies western Montgomery County food banks and pantries.

Also benefiting are the Food Bank of Delaware, Food Bank of South Jersey, Helping Harvest, and Second Harvest Food Bank of Lehigh Valley and Northeast Pennsylvania. All funds raised by Philadelphia-area franchisees through Roast Hunger will stay within the region, the foundation pledged. The event began Thursday (Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 24, 2022) and continues through Dec. 9.
