Veteran Race Winner Pauch Part of Motorsports 2023

OAKS PA – Driver Billy Pauch Sr., whose time behind the wheel of race cars has spanned six decades with nearly 750 career feature victories, will be in the spotlight Jan. 21-22 (2023; Friday and Saturday) at the Pioneer Pole Buildings Motorsports 2023 Show the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center, 100 Station Ave.

A celebration of the career of the man known as “Billy The Kid” will be among featured attractions and displays at the 37th annual race car and trade show. The Hall of Fame driver was most noted for his accomplishments in dirt Modified and Sprint Car competition. He also shone on pavement as well. His upset victory in the Race of Champions at the then-paved Flemington Fairgrounds were among his many achievements. Pauch also made several starts on the NASCAR Truck series.

Pauch will be available during the show for autographs, to pose for photos, and to sign copies of a recently released book, “The Last Cowboy: The Life and Times of Billy Pauch.” It will be available for sale at the show. Fans will also have the opportunity to reminisce with Pauch, and hear him and several of his competitors during a stage show in which questions will be taken from the audience.

Show hours Friday are from 2-9 p.m., and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. The show will again include the Ms. Motorsports pageant on Friday night, sponsored by Aqua-Duck Water Transport. This year’s winner receives $2,500. Want to compete?; applications are available here.

The annual Big Wheel races, not held last year because of pandemic concerns, will return to the schedule Saturday afternoon. Big Wheels are supplied, no advance registration is needed, and the top three finishers in each age group will receive trophies.
