One Named, 3 Reappointed to Township Vacancies

LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – Three individuals, whose terms of service on Lower Pottsgrove municipal boards expired or were due to expire, were reappointed Tuesday (Jan. 3, 2023) by the township Board of Commissioners. Additionally, a fourth person was appointed to board service for an initial term.

Reappointed to fill positions were township residents:

  • Joseph McGeehan, to the Sewer Authority;
  • Scott Fulmer, to the Planning Commission; and
  • Joseph Chrisman, to the Building Code Appeals Board.

Appointed was:

  • Brian Ward, to the Parks and Recreation Board.

Board member vacancies, which are solely voluntary positions, open occasionally and commissioners seek to fill them promptly, township Manager Ed Wagner has said in the past. Most township boards – the exception by state law is its Zoning Hearing Board – serve in advisory-only capacities to the Board of Commissioners, which is Lower Pottsgrove’s primary governing body.

If you have an interest in serving as a board member or in some other volunteer capacity, send a letter of interest and a current resume to Wagner at the township municipal building, 2199 Buchert Rd., Pottstown PA 19464. For more information on volunteering, call Wagner at 610-323-0436.
