Company Grants Applaud Inclusion, Diversity, Equity

MECHANICSBURG PA – Two organizations in Phoenixville and Norristown, respectively, were named Monday (Jan. 16, 2023) as among eight recipients of grants from Pennsylvania American Water to support their efforts which reflect the company’s values of inclusion, diversity, and equity.

Earning grants were the LGBTQ Equality Alliance of Chester County, located in Phoenixville, in the amount of $3,000, to support expansion of its youth and adult programs; and ACLAMO, of Norristown, $5,000, to support the Light of Hope campaign. The remaining winning organizations are located in Pittsburgh (2), Carlisle, Harrisburg, Wilkes-Barre, and Scranton PA.

All eight are within Pennsylvania American Water service territories, and all promote what the company said were “inclusion, diversity, and equity-related initiatives” that also are “a key component” of its community engagement strategy.

“Through these grants, Pennsylvania American Water shows its continued commitment to helping create inclusive and welcoming communities across the Commonwealth,” Pennsylvania American Water President Justin Ladner said.
