Pipe Work Scheduled in Lower Frederick, Limerick

LOWER FREDERICK PA – Pipe replacement on Game Farm Road, across portions of Lower Frederick and Limerick townships, is expected to result in a partial road closure on work days between Friday (Jan. 27, 2023) and early March, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said.

Game Farm Road is expected to be closed periodically from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. from Summit Avenue to Ryanford Road. During the closure, drivers will be detoured over parts of Neiffer Road and Route 73, the agency added. Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area. Backups and delays will occur, PennDOT stated. The schedule depends on acceptable weather.

The work is “part of a project to address storm water management” on more than 90 state-owned highways in Montgomery and three other adjacent counties, PennDOT said. Highway Materials Inc. of Flourtown PA is the general contractor. Its cost is $14.9 million.
