Pottsgrove Directors Appoint Business Administrator

LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – Deborah Klahold (at top), currently the controller, board treasurer, and tax collector for the Tredyffrin/Easttown School District in Wayne, Delaware County, was appointed Tuesday (Jan. 24, 2023) as the Pottsgrove School District’s new business administrator in an unanimous vote of the Board of School Directors.

Klahold was among members of the audience as the board met in Pottsgrove High School’s large group instruction room, during its second of its two scheduled monthly meetings. She was introduced by board President Al Leach and welcomed with applause. There was no board discussion of or comment on the appointment before or after directors cast their votes.

The board agenda listed Klahold’s starting salary as $140,000. The effective date of her appointment has yet to be determined, and likely depends on her release from duties at Tredyffrin/Easttown.

She succeeds former business administrator Ronald D. “Ron” Linke Jr., who tendered his resignation to the board last September. Linke was a more than decade-long veteran employee of Pottsgrove. He accepted a position as assistant director of business administration with the North Penn School District in Lansdale, and started work Dec. 15.
