Truck Stolen in Charlestown; Group Offering Reward
CHARLESTOWN TOWNSHIP PA – A reward is being offered by the Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers organization for information on suspects sought in the alleged theft of a pick-up truck from the parking lot of the Residence Inn on General Warren Boulevard in Charlestown, the group announced Wednesday (Feb. 1, 2023).
Pennsylvania State Police from the Troop J Barracks in Embreeville said they are investigating the theft of a 1999-model red Ford F-250 truck (similar to the one at top) that occurred sometime between Sunday (Jan. 29) at 11:30 p.m. and Monday (Jan. 30) at 6:30 a.m.
The truck, with Pennsylvania license plate ZNT1026, “has significant rust on the bottom of the front driver’s side door,” troopers said. It also is equipped with “a snowplow attachment on the front, and the bed of the truck was filled with white garbage bags,” they added.
Anyone with information about the theft or possible suspects is asked to call troopers in Embreeville at 610-486-6280. Information also can be supplied anonymously to Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers. The organization accepts tips toll-free by phone at 1-800-472-8477 (”800-4PA-TIPS”), or online.
The amount of the potential cash reward was not specified. Rewards are distributed when tips lead to an arrest in, help find a fugitive in, or assist in solving the alleged crime. Information on the incidents, although accurate when released, may later be changed or updated, it noted.
