Harleysville-Based Colorcon Inc. Buys Packaging Maker

HARLEYSVILLE PA – Colorcon Inc., the Harleysville manufacturer of medicinal coatings, reports it has completed its acquisition of Airnov Healthcare Packaging Inc., with headquarters located south of Paris, France. Airnov provides healthcare industries with high-quality controlled-atmosphere packaging to protect products from moisture and oxygen.

The value of the transaction, which wrapped up March 2 (2023; Thursday), was not disclosed.

Airnov has manufacturing facilities in the U.S., France, China and India, and employs about 700 people. Its products align well with Colorcon’s “purpose to improve health and wellness through convenience, compliance and safety,” Colorcon said.

Additionally, “Airnov’s capabilities are a strong complement to Colorcon’s existing portfolio,” according to Coloccon CEO Simon Tasker. “Our partnership expands our platform of stability and moisture management solutions from core to coatings to in-package offerings,” he added.

Colorcon said it had “11 manufacturing facilities, 25 technical service laboratories globally, and more than 1,400 employees.”
