Road Closure in Worcester Planned to Begin March 27

WORCESTER TOWNSHIP PA – Roadway and drainage repairs, accompanied by an around-the-clock road closure, will take place March 27 (2023; Monday) through early April on Stump Hall Road in Worcester Township to repair state-owned highway damaged during September 2021 by Tropical Storm Ida.

Stump Hall Road will close between Route 363 and Hollow Road for the period, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said Friday (March 10). Traffic will be detoured over Route 363 and Route 73 as a result, it added.

Drivers should allow extra time when traveling near the work area; PennDOT suggested slowdowns may occur. All scheduled activities depend on acceptable weather.

The $1.8 million project is being completed by general contractor J. D. Eckman Inc. of Atglen PA.
