
State Police Investigate Attempted Burglary in Trappe
TRAPPE PA – An alleged attempted burglary at a Trappe Borough business has prompted an investigation by Pennsylvania State Police from the Troop K Barracks in Skippack, the agency stated Monday (March 13, 2023).
Troopers are looking into the incident reported March 2 (Thursday) at 7:04 a.m. at the Vulcan Market, 306 W. Main St. “An unknown actor attempted to gain access” to the business, apparently by entry through one of its doors, they said. Troopers found one door with a locking handle, valued at $600, was damaged.
The report did not mention if any items were taken from outside or within the premises. The nature of the incident currently is labeled as one of criminal mischief with a value of under $1,000.
The business, a convenience store and fueling station that observed its grand opening during 2021, is operated on property owned by a Princeton NJ firm, according to Montgomery County property records. Troopers said their investigation “is on going.”
