
Pottsgrove Students Poised to Make ‘SpongeBob’ A Star
UPPER POTTSGROVE PA – A talented cast (at top and below) of 27 Pottsgrove Middle School students, supported by an equally talented and enthusiastic crew of 22, are ready to welcome audiences Thursday through Saturday (March 16-18, 2023) at 7 p.m. nightly to their production of “SpongeBob the Musical: Youth Edition” in the auditorium at the school, 1351 N. Hanover St.

West Pottsgrove Elementary School teacher Thomas Yenchick is directing the cast comprised of, in alphabetical order, Maddox Benton, Evelyn Bortner, Gwyneth Campbell, Kalena Derricotte, Addy Federoff, Kendra Freas, Ray Gray, Maylee Greenawalt, Cara Harner, Kyri Heard, Alexa Irizarry, Gavin Kerlin, Luke Kerlin, Madelyn Kinzel, CaeLyn Liebel, Justin Maldonado, Addy McHugh, McKenzie Monaghan, Kasia Newman, Alesandro Ojeda, Josh Palladino, Luke Palladino, Courtney Palmer, Nicholas Rowe, Jaylyn Scipio, Genevieve Sullenberger, and Alvin Washington.
Staffing the crew for the many chores that must be accomplished before, during, and after each show, also in alphabetical order, are Ezra Bigwarfe, Luna Brett, Gavin Burfield, Annalise Clarke, Teagan Cooper, Allison Filak, Nicole Filak, Stephen Girard, Ansley Holland, Chris Houk, Jacob Kinzel, Elizabeth Kuehler, Arabella Kushner, Alyssa Matarese, Lily Saing-Hauck, Caitlin Schatz, Ella Seasholtz, Sophie Smith, Abby Stetler, Rory Thomas, Sadie Troutman, and Tanner Ullman.
It includes original songs by well-known rock and pop stars that include Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith, Sara Bareilles, Jonathan Coulton, The Flaming Lips, Cyndi Lauper, John Legend, Panic! At the Disco, and They Might Be Giants.
Tickets cost $10 and can be purchased at the door on the night of each performance. Doors will open at 6:30 PM each night. Auditorium seating is open and not assigned.
