LOCAL REALTOR WINS AWARD – Terese Brittingham of Keller Williams Real Estate, North Lewis Road, Limerick PA, who currently serves as chairman of the TriCounty Area Chamber of Commerce in Pottstown, was presented this month with two chamber honors: its Chairman of the Year and Volunteer of the Year awards. Both were given during the chamber’s annual dinner, held April 12 (2011) at RiverCrest Golf Club and Preserve in Phoenixville. Making the presentation was Brad Okoniewski, the chamber’s immediate past chairman.
AUTO DEALERSHIPS’ PRESIDENT FEATURED SPEAKER – Fred Beans, president of the Fred Beans family of automobile dealerships – including Fred Beans’ Ford of Boyertown PA – gave the keynote presentation at the chamber dinner. He told members that planning is the most important thing a business leader can do. He also suggested they establish core values, hire good people, keep score, celebrate victories, and set a good example.
