The number of higher education choices available to western Montgomery County high school seniors is big and still growing, many learned Thursday in Gilbertsville.
The Pottstown Health and Wellness Foundation has awarded $2.75 million in grants during its just-ended fiscal year.
Its target: parents and students who will be planning now to attend the schools of their choice next fall. (Hint! It's never too early).
There's enough time remaining to be enrolled in a late-start course, several of which will begin during October.
It's more than just a field trip for those students who are educated at home. It's a day to meet with their colleagues, participate in 18th Century activities, and learn new things.
Residents of Pottstown, Douglassville, Gilbertsville and New Hanover were among those on stage recently to receive diplomas as cadets graduating from the Montgomery County Municipal Police Academy.
The mental health wellness and suicide prevention open house, supported in part by Montgomery County Community College, will be held Sept. 11 in Plymouth Meeting PA.
