GED is an acronym for "general education diploma." In the latest class of GED graduates from Montgomery County Community College, 77 proud people marched home with one in hand and a smile on their face.
Montgomery County Community College will hold a Dec. 2 open house in Pottstown to help prospective students choose an educational path for their future careers, and then a second session Dec. 5 on how to pay for it.
The two Pottstown non-profit organizations, which have long histories in providing child care services, have now set up programs for children while their parents attend classes at the community college.
Its target: parents and students who will be planning now to attend the schools of their choice next fall. (Hint! It's never too early).
There's enough time remaining to be enrolled in a late-start course, several of which will begin during October.
