The state distributed more than $1.49 million Monday in equipment grants to career and technology centers. The money will benefit Pottstown, Pottsgrove, Spring-Ford, Upper Perkiomen, Perkiomen Valley, Boyertown, and Phoenixville school districts.

A Norristown man wanted in Berks County on an outstanding arrest warrant was taken into custody by Pennsylvania state police while he visited the Valley Forge Casino Resort, they said.

When Hollywood makes a movie that requires filming cash, it apparently relies on play money printed with a label that identifies it as phony. A $100 bill of that type showed up Sunday in Valley Forge, state police said.
