Participating congregations have been planning the service for weeks. It will be held Sunday at Shenkel Grove, 1580 Shenkel Rd., Pottstown, and is open to the public.

The annual event seeks to end hunger locally and across the world. The emergency food pantry of the Pottstown Cluster of Religious Communities will be its local beneficiary. More walkers are being sought.

Their first goals, Hearts of Harmony emphasizes, are to graduate from high school and show they've mastered reading, writing, math, and critical thinking skills. After those, most kids are prepared to "live larger than life."
