The guest speakers are a couple who have published a book about their work with residents of Papua New Guinea as they rebuild their island village following a tsunami in 1998.

A park ranger's discussion of predatory birds is among the first events scheduled for the new year at Shenkel United Church of Christ.
Local walkers from 16 area religious congregations and Pine Forge Academy raised thousands of dollars in the fund-raiser to help end hunger locally and around the world.
The holiday event at Shenkel United Church of Christ is open to the public.
Its congregation is attempting to fill a bus with cleaning supplies to assist those in need. Pottstown community residents are being invited to join the effort.
The project, and the event, are being sponsored by Harris Family Ministries.
Their activities will be featured in both services Sunday at the Pottstown church.
Their return to the Sunday School season starts with a stomach-warming pancake breakfast!
