A tense, day-long gun drama Thursday between law enforcers and a lone gunman at a Logan Steet, Pottstown, apartment ended in the evening darkness with the wounded suspect in custody and hospitalized. None of the officers and first responders, and no other members of the public, were injured.
With only two exceptions at year's end, its members will gather at borough hall on the fourth Thursday of every month.
Slippery streets and a moderate accumulation of snow made life interesting over the weekend in downtown Pottstown.
Pottstown and surrounding municipalities are being asked to vote on including Lower Frederick Township as a member of the Ches-Mont Emergency Response Team. It was Lower Pottsgrove's turn Thursday; its commissioners gave unanimous consent.
The accident's cause was undetermined at the time of the report.
Investigators continue to hunt for a "heavy-set white female" driving a compact car.
