A fire in a wooded area at the end of Beaumont Lane, a private road in Lower Pottsgrove, was quickly put out Wednesday afternoon by volunteers of the Sanatoga and Ringing Hill fire companies.

Water streaming across the hill on North Sanatoga Road in Lower Pottsgrove has been a perpetual problem. PennDOT took steps to solve it Wednesday and Thursday by cleaning out ditches and culverts.
