Lower Pottsgrove police have arrested a Pottstown resident, age 25, who allegedly spent more than $1,500 using unsupported checks. He turned himself in to police after a warrant was issued.

A row of three retailers at Upland Square in West Pottsgrove closed Sunday as a way to stop the spread of coronavirus, and left signs of explanation. Another store needed signage for a different reason.

An electrical wire burned and fell to the ground Tuesday from atop utility poles lining Hilltop Road in Lower Pottsgrove. Utility contractors were working in the area at the time. Firefighters responded.
