Work on replacing the King Street bridge, near its intersection with Manatawny Street at Memorial Park in Pottstown Borough, is nearing its end. The intersection will be closed Friday through Sunday nights for construction work.
Transportation
Pottstown area travelers, and more specifically those on East High Street between Evergreen and North Pleasant View roads, should be wary Sunday through Thursday. Pavement milling will occur overnight.
Line-striping and the installation of safety enhancements next week on Route 663 are expected to slow or intermittently close traffic lanes between Route 29 and the Interstate 476 interchange.
PennDOT crews will work next week in Montgomery County to fill potholes on Route 113 across Collegeville Borough, as well as Routes 23, 724, and other highways in northern Chester County.
Overnight lane closures continue this week on U.S. Route 422 between U.S. Route 202 and First Avenue, as well as on North Gulph Road, in King of Prussia. Turnpike improvement work is under way.
