A motorcyclist said to be traveling at speeds exceeding 100 miles an hour crashed Sunday into a guard rail on U.S. Route 422 near Sanatoga. That was followed by a second crash of three vehicles trying to avoid the first incident.

The Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission acknowledged Tuesday it could not, and would not try, to go further with its proposal to toll U.S. Route 422. There was just too much public and political opposition, its executive director said.
