Credit Union Support Assists Pottstown Readers

April 7, 2011

POTTSTOWN READERS ARE WINNERS – The Pottstown School District’s Reading Olympics program benefited again this year from sponsorship by Diamond Credit Union, Medical Drive, Pottstown PA. The credit union recently provided team T-shirts, and financial support to help purchase books and event transportation, to the popular program for a sixth consecutive year. The Reading Olympics is a rapid-recall competition that asks teams of students to answer questions pulled from 40 to 50 books. The event helps children learn about teamwork and improves their reading comprehension skills. Diamond President John Faust and the credit union’s mascot, Chip, were among those on hand at Lincoln Elementary School to cheer the readers on.
