UPPER PROVIDENCE PA – Patricia Maurer, identified as a 74-year-old widow from Gilbertsville PA, came forward Thursday (April 28, 2011) to tell police and the Montgomery County district attorney that she was involved in a Township Line Road, Upper Providence PA, automobile accident on Wednesday (April 27) that resulted in the death of a 26-year-old woman, The (Pottstown PA) Mercury newspaper reported.
Maurer and her family surrendered Maurer’s vehicle to officials, and said they “look forward” to working with investigators, according to Maurer’s attorney. He said Maurer didn’t realize she had been in an accident until she got home Wednesday and saw the damage to her vehicle.
