KING OF PRUSSIA PA – Highway resurfacing on Route 73 in Skippack, Perkiomen, and Worcester, and construction activities on U.S. Route 422 in Limerick and Lower Pottsgrove, have been scheduled for the coming week by the King of Prussia office of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
Route 73 resurfacing
Paving work that requires a lane closure is scheduled for Sunday through Thursday (May 7-11, 2023) from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning on Route 73, between Route 29 and Green Hill Road, in Worcester and Perkiomen townships and Skippack Borough, PennDOT said.
It is one of several projects to repair and pave more than 200 miles of state highway across the Philadelphia region. PennDOT said it is milling existing roadways and repaving them with new asphalt to provide a smoother riding surface.
U.S. Route 422 activity
Three separate work activities are planned on portions of U.S. Route 422. All are part of PennDOT’s program to ensure highway safety and overall condition, it said.
Guide rail repairs will require a left-lane closure Monday and Tuesday (May 8-9), both days from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., on westbound 422 between its Royersford-Trappe and Linfield-Limerick interchanges in Limerick Township.
Bridge inspections will require:
- A right-lane closure Thursday (May 11) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on eastbound 422 between its Armand Hammer Boulevard and Sanatoga interchanges; and
- A right-lane closure Friday (May 12) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on westbound 422 between its Armand Hammer Boulevard and Sanatoga interchanges.
