LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – The entire Lower Pottsgrove Township staff is taking the summer off. Off of their regular schedule, that is, and substituting one of “summer hours,” township Manager Ed Wagner explains.
The Buchert Road municipal building is generally open for business Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., but that will change between Memorial Day and Labor Day, the Board of Commissioners has agreed.
For the bright, hopefully sunny and enjoyable interim, Lower Pottsgrove employees will work nine hours daily from Monday through Thursday, and only four hours on Friday, Wagner reported during the board’s May 1 (2023; Monday) meeting. Different departments will operate at varied times, too.
The summer schedules are already posted for its:
- Administrative staff, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 7:30-11:30 a.m. Friday;
- Code Enforcement staff, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 7:30-11:30 a.m. Friday;
- Sewer Authority employees, 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 6-10 a.m. Friday;
- Highway Department employees, 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 6-10 a.m. Friday; and
- Police Department administrative staff, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 7 a.m. to noon Friday.
The township building remains closed on Saturdays and Sundays. Police patrols continue daily, around the clock.
If you need to reach a township staff member – when they’re on duty, of course – call the municipal building at 610-323-0436. If there’s a police or fire emergency, call 9-1-1 any time.
