PENNSBURG PA – Parents and children alike can have some fun, and learn new things about regional history while they’re at it, during two free craft activities being offered Feb. 4 (2023; Saturday) and Feb. 9 (Thursday) by the Schwenkfelder Library & Heritage Center, 105 Seminary St.
Drop in Feb. 4 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to enjoy winter paper crafts.
Visit the center Feb. 9, from 5-7 p.m. for American Girl Winter Traditions, Tea, and Cookies. Children are encouraged to bring their favorite doll or stuffed animal to share the experience, and learn about winter traditions of the past. They’ll also make a craft to take home.
Seasonal Saturday crafts are offered by the center on the first Saturday of each month. Its Hands-On Heritage programs are held on the third Thursday of the month, except in May. Both programs are open to the public and individuals of any age, though small children may need help from a parent or guardian. No advance registration is registration.
The center serves as the regional history museum for the Upper Perkiomen Valley.
