May 17, 2023

PERKIOMEN TOWNSHIP PA – State police, in reports distributed Tuesday (May 16, 2023), said they are investigating two separate and unrelated incidents that occurred during the past weekend in Perkiomen Township. One involved the theft of items from a motor vehicle on Plank Road; the second, criminal mischief that resulted in damage on Oak Street.

Theft of items on Plank Road

Unknown actors “smashed two windows” on the front driver and passenger sides of a vehicle that was parked Sunday (May 14) at 7:18 a.m. in the Perkiomen Trail parking lot at 1 Plank Rd., troopers from the Skippack Barracks reported. From it thieves allegedly stole a black crossbody-style bag containing a wallet.

The victim is a Perkiomenville woman, whose 2018-model Chevrolet Suburban was the object of the attack. Her bag was said to hold a black-and-white striped wallet with the victim’s drivers’ license and several credit cards.

Troopers hope someone may be able to identify individuals involved. Anyone with information is asked to call the Troop K Barracks at 610-584-1250.

Criminal mischief on Oak Street

Someone severed a cable television service line Saturday (May 13) at about 9:30 p.m. outside an Oak Street residence, according to troopers.

They said a Verizon FiOS cable wire that runs from a utility pole to the property “was cut by unknown means by an unknown person.” The value of the damage was estimated at about $99.
