Pottsgrove and Pottstown area residents responded in droves Saturday and Sunday and brought more than 160 former Christmas trees to Althouse Arboretum on Gilbertsville Road.
We don’t mean to rush the season. But, when you’re considering disposal of a tree once Christmas is over, think of Althouse Arboretum in Upper Pottsgrove. It’s willing to recycle trees, for free!, on Jan. 8 and 9.
Area children can enjoy themselves on a holiday drive-through activity this Wednesday through Friday at Althouse Arboretum in Upper Pottsgrove, and help ensure families in need have something to eat too.
A clothing and household goods drive planned for November has been re-scheduled to Dec. 3 at Althouse Arboretum. It’ll be a great opportunity to do some housecleaning before the holidays, while helping others too.

Mother Nature failed to cooperate April 9, and sent rain through Upper Pottsgrove that made Althouse Arboretum trails too slippery. Now its postponed Easter Egg Hunt and accompanying fun are re-scheduled for April 16.
