Pottstown's Barth Elementary School was the only one in Pennsylvania to receive a $5,000 grant from the Laura Bush Foundation For America's Libraries to purchase library materials.
It's been years since Pottstown High School graduate Marie Delvecchio roamed the halls of Barth Elementary School as a child. That was where she developed a love of reading, and she wanted to duplicate her experience for others.
Students at the Pottstown elementary school spent a significant portion of their year learning more about the environment, while they made their building and area parks nicer places to be.
Contractors have until June 5 to indicate their interest and submit their best estimates.
The elementary school's staff members will even greet you at the door. The proceeds benefit classroom technology needs.
An Oaks PA wholesale office supply company, and the charitable arm of its corporate parent, came to Pottstown's Barth Elementary School on Tuesday with gifts for its students: brand-new backpacks, crammed with school supplies.
