The maintenance knowledge and skill set of Boyertown native Matthew Psota made him a competitor during the U.S. Navy's Damage Control Olympics competition, aboard the USS Paul Ignatius as it sailed the Atlantic Ocean.
Artists Will Dexter and Karla Trinkley of the glass-blowing studio were honored Friday night with the "Artist As Hero" Award from Philadelphia's National Liberty Museum.
Its status marks it as among the premiere downtown advocates and business booster organizations in Pennsylvania. Only 26 programs were accredited this year.
The honor was presented Saturday by the state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources during ceremonies at Boyertown Community Park.
Vendors are being sought, too, for the event to be held March 23.
The program conducted by and at Chestnut Knoll will be held Nov. 10.
Borough resident and bona fide paranormal investigator Scott Wiley will be a guest of the Boyertown Farmers' Market, and discuss his experiences with stuff that goes bump in the night.
She has family members living in both Boyertown and Pottstown.
