Downtown Pottstown merchants have planned a Christmas kick-off celebration for Sunday from noon to 7 p.m. intended to surprise and delight visitors. It was re-scheduled from Saturday to avoid wet and windy weather.
An animated, lighted Christmas light show, accompanied by music and which lasts 10-15 minutes, is being presented nightly by the Ringing Hill Fire Company, 815 White Pine Ln. Volunteers have been working on it for months.
A home owner on Horseshoe Drive in Pottstown erected a knock-out holiday lighting display for Christmas 2011.
