The Colebrookdale Railroad Preservation Trust has developed state-approved lesson plans on the history of "The Secret Valley" between Pottstown and Boyertown. An Ambler Savings Bank donation has helped.
Extras are needed Jan. 29 from 10:30 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. for a film involving the Colebrookdale Railroad in Boyertown. You'll need to e-mail in advance to express interest, and there are dress requirements.

The Colebrookdale Railroad's annual open house trip for elected officials is now set for Oct. 16. They'll get to see the progress the popular tourism attraction has made since 2014.
Nathaniel Guest, president of the trust that operates the tourist railroad between Boyertown and Pottstown, said 2014 was a year of accomplishments.
A meticulously restored cabin car, otherwise known as a caboose, is returning to its Pennsylvania origins for use by the Colebrookdale Railroad Preservation Trust in Boyertown.
