There was a distinct chill in the air Sunday night in downtown Pottstown, as a crowd gathered for lighting of the borough’s holiday tree in Smith Family Plaza. Santa was there. Candy canes and hot cocoa set the mood for many.
Downtown Pottstown merchants have planned a Christmas kick-off celebration for Sunday from noon to 7 p.m. intended to surprise and delight visitors. It was re-scheduled from Saturday to avoid wet and windy weather.
The Pottstown F.A.R.M (Farm & Artisan Regional Market) made its season-opening debut Thursday downtown at the corner of High and Charlotte Streets. More than 25 vendors are participating this year.
