Lower Frederick Township engineer Carol Schuehler faced a crowd of about 175 people Tuesday, who were anxious to hear about a controversial, higher-density housing zoning proposal. The Board of Supervisors said it would not pursue the plan further, for now.
If Lower Frederick supervisors approve, the township plans to create an agricultural security area. Experts say it would protect farms from condemnation, and give them more freedom to operate.
A public hearing on the township's proposed Goshenhoppen Creek Overlay zoning district, originally scheduled for Tuesday night, has been canceled. Instead, supervisors hope to conduct an "informational session" about the plan.
