Lower Pottsgrove commissioners got an early start Tuesday on municipal business. They met in a legally authorized executive session to discuss what appears to involve a potential real estate purchase or lease.
Six meetings are planned during September among the township's five governing and advisory boards. Some will be live, some virtual on Zoom. They'll kick off Tuesday with the Board of Commissioners.
The occasionally swampy lower parking lot at Gerald Richard Park in Lower Pottsgrove will be rebuilt under a project for which the township Board of Commissioners approved a bid last week.
Lower Pottsgrove continues to work with architects in preparing plans for its township municipal campus. What it does not yet know: just how big, as measured by square footage, the building will be.
Lower Pottsgrove has issued its monthly financial warrant for July, as approved by the Board of Commissioners. It documents where revenues came from, and how money was spent, during the month.
Although it wasn't on Thursday night's agenda, Lower Pottsgrove commissioners acted on a former board member's suggestion and agreed to send a letter of support for a new commuter rail proposal.
