Gusting winds Tuesday night caused a tree to collapse onto a utility pole and power line at the south side of Schaffer Road, between Pruss Hill and North Schaffer roads. It cut electricity to a few homes, and sparked a small fire.
Drivers traveling weekdays March 13-17 on U.S. Route 422 between West Pottsgrove and West Norriton are likely to encounter pothole repair crews on both sides of the highway. They’ll be busy daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Construction workers building the replacement bridge on Pruss Hill Road in Lower Pottsgrove made progress last week in completing its steel culvert and framing its header walls. Their efforts were rewarded with pizza.
