Downed twigs and branches were removed. New flowers were planted. The grounds, occasionally soggy from recent rain, were cleaned. Volunteers donated their time and effort Saturday to spruce up in Schwenksville.
After seemingly endless months without public entertainment as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, the Schwenksville Borough Activities Committee has already set summer concert and Community Day dates for this year.
Schwenksville Borough concerts in Meadow Park on Main Street will continue Aug. 18 from 6-8 p.m as it features the three-part harmonies of the "Rhodes Less Traveled" band.
The recent round of thunderstorms has abated, and so have Perkiomen Creek flood waters. Rain gardens in Schwenksville borough's Meadow Park are blooming again with new crops of black-eyed susans.
The final installment of the 2019 Music In The Meadow summer concert series at Schwenksville's Meadow Park, planned for Aug. 21 (Wednesday), marks the return of Dog Bite Money.
