During its Thursday meeting, Montgomery County commissioners authorized an amended contract with Traffic Planning and Design Inc. on engineering and design updates for the Keim Street bridge in Pottstown.

Jamila H. Winder, who has served on the Norristown Area school board and the East Norriton Board of Supervisors, on Tuesday was selected by Montgomery County judges as newest member of the county Board of Commissioners.

Montgomery County commissioners authorized the purchase of 67,000 U.S. flags to mark veterans’ graves for the Memorial Day holiday. That’s “a record number,” its Veterans Affairs director reported.
