A fully involved barn fire reported Thursday morning slightly before 8:30 a.m. attracted 16 different fire companies, many of which responded with tankers to ensure an adequate supply of water.
A woman suffered burns during a Wednesday mid-morning fire that damaged upper floors of a home on the 600 block of North Evans Street in Pottstown. Eight area fire companies and departments responded.
As cell phones blared emergency alert signals, drivers across greater Pottstown endured heavy rains and gusting winds. A few became trapped in local flooding, including on Medical Drive in Lower Pottsgrove.
The accident's cause was undetermined at the time of the report.
