State troopers in Skippack, and police personnel in Marlborough, New Hanover, Pottstown, and Upper Providence, all will participate in a mid-November gun turn-in event organized by Montgomery County’s district attorney.
Deonte Kelly, wanted for arrest as a second person allegedly involved in last Monday’s double homicide in Pottstown, surrendered Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. to borough and Montgomery County law enforcers.

A second suspect is wanted in the Monday shooting deaths of two Pottsgrove High students, the Montgomery County district attorney said. Police are seeking Deonte Kelly, a 23-year-old Philadelphia man.
Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steel said Pottstown police have arrested a 17-year-old Schwenksville male and charged him in the Monday fatal shooting of two Pottsgrove High students.
Montgomery County's district attorney on Wednesday identified by name the victims of the Monday night shooting in Pottstown. The county coroner also released its autopsy results. The Pottsgrove students, it concluded, died of multiple gunshot wounds.
Two deceased teen-age males, later identified as Pottsgrove schools’ students, were found Monday night at a borough location. Police said the double homicide involved gun shots. The school district reached out with counseling assistance.
A Philadelphia teen, who was wanted on a warrant for a murder and attempted murder that occurred Aug. 28 in Pottstown, was taken into custody Saturday by U.S. Marshals at a North Philadelphia residence.
