Drivers on U.S. Route 422 in Upper Providence, Limerick, Lower Pottsgrove and West Pottsgrove, beware. Pothole patrols will be on the highway next week. They’ll also be found on other roads in Trappe, Upper Providence, and Warwick.
Perkiomen Township will install utility improvements on Route 29 near High School Drive during the week of March 27-31. Expect delays while the work is being completed.
In an update on developments involving the Route 29 bridge between Pennsburg and Red Hill, PennDOT said its full closure would be postponed to March 20 (Monday) due to a scheduling change.
Drivers traveling weekdays March 13-17 on U.S. Route 422 between West Pottsgrove and West Norriton are likely to encounter pothole repair crews on both sides of the highway. They’ll be busy daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Workers for general contractor J. D. Eckman Inc. plan to fully close a portion of Stump Hall Road in Worcester Township from late March through early April to repair that hurricane-damaged highway.
Because St. Patrick’s Day falls on a Friday this year, state officials are concerned about a potential increase in impaired driving. Rigorous enforcement and sobriety checkpoints are scheduled, they said.
Damage caused in September 2021 by Tropical Storm Ida is on PennDOT’s to-be-fixed list. Its crews will tackle those chores next week in North Coventry, Warwick, and New Hanover townships.
