The state will address storm water management issues from Feb. 24 to March 10 in Limerick Township with the planned replacement of pipe on a portion of North Lewis Road, PennDOT said.
Crews working on behalf of PennDOT will be busy repairing potholes next week on, among 40 highways in five counties, one local road each in western Montgomery and northern Chester counties.
PennDOT contractors expect to spend four days, next Tuesday through Friday, installing temporary signals at both ends of the Main Street bridge in Pennsburg. They will control traffic flow during construction.
Drivers in the area of U.S. Route 422 and North Gulph Road can expect to encounter occasional traffic restrictions between First Avenue and U.S. Route 202. Work there will continue on Pennsylvania Turnpike improvements.
All PennDOT license and photo centers, including those in the TriCounty area, will be closed Feb. 18-20 for the Presidents' Day holiday, the state Transportation Department said.
Lane closures on state highways through parts of Perkiomen, Skippack, Salford, Franconia, Charlestown, and Warwick townships is scheduled during the coming week by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
Day-long PECO utility construction work is planned for Monday and Tuesday on Route 29 in Pennsburg, state transportation officials warned. Drivers should anticipate a lane closure, and traffic delays.
Legal consequences await those who are caught driving while intoxicated during Super Bowl weekend, state officials reminded the public Thursday. Sadly, there could be fatal ones too, they added.
