The portion of Route 100 between King Street and U.S. Route 422 across Pottstown and Upper Pottsgrove will be affected next week by road maintenance work.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said it anticipated letting bids in December to replace two bridges on PA Route 63, one in Upper Salford and the other near Green Lane.
Resurfacing of U.S. Route 422 roughly between Sanatoga and Royersford, and more reconstruction of the highway in West Pottsgrove, were projects announced Tuesday by PennDOT as heading out for bids soon.
PennDOT contractors will enjoy their Memorial Day holiday, like most of us. Then, next Tuesday, construction-related traffic disruptions resume on portions of Routes 29 and 73, and Meyers Road.
Drivers should be prepared next week to use only one lane of portions of Routes 100 South and 422 West in Pottstown, Upper Pottsgrove, and North Coventry, as PennDOT fixes road shoulders.
