PennDOT contractors will enjoy their Memorial Day holiday, like most of us. Then, next Tuesday, construction-related traffic disruptions resume on portions of Routes 29 and 73, and Meyers Road.
Drivers should be prepared next week to use only one lane of portions of Routes 100 South and 422 West in Pottstown, Upper Pottsgrove, and North Coventry, as PennDOT fixes road shoulders.
Portions of Routes 29, 73, and Meyers Road across Perkiomen and Skippack townships will be affected next week by PennDOT crews working on utilities, conduits, and road surfaces.
The PennDOT license center on East High Street in Pottstown, which the agency announced would be temporarily closed for a "facilities issue," is already back in business.
Parts of Route 663 across Pennsburg borough, and New and Upper Hanover townships, will incur overnight lane restrictions next week as milling and paving work is completed.
Two different lengths of Route 113, passing though portions of Trappe, Perkiomen, and Lower Salford are scheduled to be repaved as part of a project that begins next Monday and is expected to end by late October.
A PennDOT contractor will grind away the road surface during overnight periods next week on a portion of Route 663 between Hill and Knight roads.
New linear spray paint work is coming next Monday through Friday to Route 29 across East Greenville, Pennsburg and Red Hill boroughs, PennDOT said.
