A Norristown man wanted in Berks County on an outstanding arrest warrant was taken into custody by Pennsylvania state police while he visited the Valley Forge Casino Resort, they said.
State police from the Troop K Barracks in Skippack said Friday they separately arrested three individuals on DUI charges in unrelated incidents that occurred in Skippack, Upper Hanover, and Perkiomen townships.
When Hollywood makes a movie that requires filming cash, it apparently relies on play money printed with a label that identifies it as phony. A $100 bill of that type showed up Sunday in Valley Forge, state police said.
A cargo van being driven by a Reading man was damaged and towed away following a hit-and-run accident on eastbound U.S. Route 422, state police said. The driver of a car that twice hit the van fled the scene.
Rolex watches valued in the thousands of dollars are missing in Salford Township, and a check forgery and counterfeiting also worth thousands occurred in Perkiomen. State police are investigating both.
The phone sat atop a bar in the Valley Forge Casino Resort while the victim visited with friends. A prospective suspect, identified by state police, allegedly pocketed the device and walked away with it.
In Upper Hanover Township, the damage created Friday by a still-unknown thief far outweighed the payoff bulging from his or her pockets, Skippack-based state police reported.
In reports released Tuesday, state police at the Troop K Barracks in Skippack said they responded to calls regarding commercial burglary and criminal mischief. They also made DUI and drug-related arrests.
