A pair of burglars allegedly stole $4,500 in hand and power tools from the Upper Hanover home of a 49-year-old man, state police reported Wednesday. No force was involved, and they got away. The case is under investigation.
Valley Forge casino officials earlier banned a Philadelphia resident from the property. He returned anyway, in late August and again on Wednesday, resulting in two citations from state police.
State police investigating a Thursday accident on Bridge Road in Skippack said a Collegeville driver failed to yield to traffic at a stop sign at its intersection with Perkiomen Creek Road.
Over a period of four days, a roughly half-mile stretch of Old Skippack Road in Upper Salford was the scene of two separate and unrelated motor vehicle accidents. Injuries reportedly occurred in both.
Pennsylvania State Police said Tuesday they are looking into an allegedly counterfeit $20 bill tendered at a Valley Forge casino cage. They identified a Maryland woman as a possible suspect.
Burglars forced their way into a Schwenksville store and stole merchandise valued at more than $3,000, state police said. They also investigated a Trappe residential burglary, and an East Greenville domestic dispute.
The driver of a business-owned truck crashed Saturday at 7:54 p.m. into a utility pole on the 500 block of Main Street in East Greenville. State Police attributed the accident to a mechanical issue.
Indications that a burglary occurred at a West Main Street, Trappe, store prompted a call Monday to the Pennsylvania State Police.
