Potassium iodide pills are being made available locally for use only by direction during a potential nuclear alert. They can be picked up Sept. 16 in Pottstown or Boyertown, or from county health officials weekdays during business hours.
Locations in Pottstown, Boyertown, and Phoenixville are dispensing points Aug. 9 (Thursday) for potassium iodide tablets from the Pennsylvania Department of Health. They're to be used only during a nuclear emergency.
